MOSL has announced that trading parties approved MOSL’s 2025-28 Business Plan last week at the General Meeting on 27 February.

Following the consultation which took place in January, the final plan shows a 2% increase from the draft budget, as a result of the inclusion of the Strategic Data Programme, which received positive feedback.
Total spend budget for 2025/26 is £14.045 million. £13.7 million will be funded through MO charges with £345k funded from reserves – an overall increase of 1% from the 2024/25 charges.
In total, MOSL received 47 votes out of a total of 63 members eligible to vote (74.6%), which is more than the required two-thirds for the General Meeting to be quorate.
The only resolution presented at the meeting was to approve the 2025-26 annual budget of expenditure. 46 members (97.9%) voted in favour of the resolution, with one member voting against.
MOSL has also separately announced the appointment of Mark Wilkinson to the Board as a Wholesaler Director.
Following a member's vote in July 2024, and the implementation of a Code Change on 6 December, MOSL’s Board composition changed from two retailers and one Wholesaler Director, to having two directors from each industry category.
As a result, recruitment commenced in December for an additional Wholesaler Director. MOSLsaid it received some strong applications and Mark Wilkinson, nominated by Northumbrian Water, was appointed to the MOSL Board with effect from 27 February 2025. Now Head of Income and Wholesale at Northumbrian Water, he will serve a term of three years.
