Flooding and Flood Defence

The Environment Agency are proposing to repair existing flood defences and build new ones along a section of the River Tame in Birmingham where 1,408 properties are at risk of flooding.

Homes in the Rhiwbina area of Cardiff are set to benefit from increased flood protection as a result of additional funding from the Welsh Government.

The Environment Agency has published flood risk management plan scoping reports which set out the approach of the draft FRMPs in England.

People and businesses of Port Clarence and Greatham South are invited to a public meeting to find out more about a proposed flood defence scheme for the town.

Team Van Oord is shortly due to start work on the new £30m Exeter flood defence scheme which will reduce flood risk to approximately 3,000 homes and businesses throughout the city.

The Environment Agency will set out plans for for a £3 million Stockton-on-Tees flood defence scheme on 2nd July.
