Welsh Water starts work on flood alleviation schemes

 

Dwr Cymru Welsh Water has started work this week on two flood alleviation schemes worth a combined total of around £ 3 million.

Welsh Water is investing around £1m in Heswall and £2 million in Gwersyllt - both projects are being delivered by the utility’s contract partners Costain Limited.

Both schemes include the construction of a new underground tank to store water during periods of heavy rain, a connecting pipeline, installation of  a new sewer.and new manholes.
