Thames Water has gone out to tender with a valves contract for AMP6 worth up to £29 million.
The water company is looking to appoint up to ten suppliers to the framework agreement, which could run for up to six years.
Estimated total value for the duration of the framework agreement is between £17 million and £29 million.
Thames Water intends to award one or more Framework Agreements for the short/long term supply of valves and other associated equipment either directly or on its behalf by its contractors. The products will be used in both potable water and waste water applications.
The agreement is divided into the following nine Lots - suppliers can apply for all or individual lots.
Lot 1 - Hydraulic Control Valves
Lot 2 - Regulating Valves
Lot 3 - Isolation Valves
Lot 4 - Over-Pressure Valves
Lot 5 - Non-Return Valves
Lot 6 - Air Valves
Lot 7 - Penstocks
Lot 8 - Actuators
Lot 9 - Hydrants
Any framework agreement awarded will be for an initial duration of 3 years, with options to extend annually up to a maximum overall term of 5 or 6 years. The water company will also consider awarding for 5 or 6 years from the outset of the contract.
Time limit for receipt of tenders or requests to participate is 11th September. All suppliers must complete a pre-qualification questionnaire.
