Southern Water has awarded an AMP8 contract for Developer Services worth an estimated £3.4 million.

The supply of services will be remote or across the entire Southern Water region, covering Kent, Sussex, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
The water company highlighted when it went out to that collaboration with its in-house team would be of paramount importance to ensure a high level of customer service to customers and community and continue robust service with an ever-growing demand in the Developer Services environment.
Southern Water was looking for a strategic partner to undertake a variety of workstreams, as well as proactively liaising with and engaging with the in-house Developer Services team.
Activities covered under the contract include:
- Capacity checks
- Odour consultations
- Development Consent Orders
- New roads & street works
- Planning liaison & growth identification (including planning consultations & planning appeals)
- Pre-Planning enquiries
Warwick-based firm Skewb Ltd has been awarded the contract, one of two companies bidding for the work.
Initial contract term is 4 years with extension options up to a further 4 years.
