The Environment Agency has gone out to tender with a contract for River Thames tankered waste management via the Defra Network eTendering Portal.

There are 45 lock sites along the River Thames with mixed residential or private let properties, commercial services and public services that require waste to be disposed of.
The Environment Agency’s Thames area requires a waste management contract for the removal of sewage waste - currently from around 22 of their navigation-based operational sites.
Proposed start date for the contract is 1 April 2023 with an end date of 31 March 2025 - potential extension options are available.
