Severn Trent Water has gone out to tender with an AMP7 contract for high court enforcement services on behalf of itself and sister company Hafren Dyfrdwy Cyfyngedig worth an estimated £3.9 million.

The contract covers the provision of High Court enforcement services for the collection of outstanding water debt.
The water company is looking to appoint a panel of High Court Enforcement Officers to assist with the collection of outstanding water debt - there are 2 key elements to the service :
Step 1: administrative. This means applying for County Court Judgments to be transferred to the High Court. This is called the Transfer Up Process, (TUP). If successful, the court issues a "writ of control"
Step 2: enforcement. This is "enforcing the writ of control", i.e., collecting the debt
Estimated total value of the contract is £3,900,000.
Initial contract term is 36 months with four further annual extension options.
Severn Trent is looking to appoint up to three suppliers to the framework agreement.
Time limit for receipt of tenders or requests to participate is 13 February 2023 – click here to access the tender documentation.
