Six Welsh Councils have awarded a framework contract for consultative engineering and construction services worth an estimated £36 million.

The following Councils contract have established a framework of pre-qualified and suitably experienced consulting engineers to enable participating local authorities to procure a full range of civil engineering design services across South West and Mid Wales.
- Carmarthenshire County Council
- Ceredigion County Council
- Pembrokeshire County Council
- Powys County Council
- Neath-Port Talbot County Borough Council
- Swansea Council
In addition to the local authorities, Cwm Environmental Ltd will also be able to call off the
Contract Award Notice to establish a framework agreement to deliver high quality services in the fields of highways, structures and transportation engineering to include project management, technical advice, design, technical surveys, construction management and management of services.
Fourteen companies were in the bidding for the work.
Amey Consulting, Arcadis Consulting (UK) Ltd, Atkins, Capita Property and Infrastructure Ltd, Mott MacDonald and WSP UK have all been awarded a place on the framework.
Initial contract term is three years up to 31st March 2024 with a further one year extension option.
