Tideway, the company responsible for the construction and initial operation of the supersewer for London, is seeking input from the supply chain ahead of going out to tender with a major £ multi-million pound contract for repair and maintenance services in 2021.

Following completion of the works on the Thames Tideway Tunnel project, Tideway will be responsible for maintaining project assets during the system acceptance period which currently runs from approximately September 2024 for a minimum of 18 and up to a 36 month period.
The company is now exploring service delivery options for planned and reactive maintenance on the assets during this time across circa 21 sites and 20,000 assets.
Tideway is inviting suppliers in relevant industries to respond initially to a market engagement questionnaire in order that Tideway can better understand the industry, its capabilities, capacity and appetite for a potential service package.
Estimated date of publication of the formal contract notice is currently July 2021.
