Thames Water tenders £7.5m flood protection contract

Thames Water has gone out to tender with a contract for £7.5m flood protection contract for the supply, repair, maintenance and upgrade of Flooding Local Improvement Process (FLIP) systems in its wastewater network worth an estimated £7.5 million.

The operational waste network system within Thames Water consists of:

  • housing
  • submersible pump
  • control head
  • motor
  • cables
  • circuit board

New and spares of equipment are required under the contract, together with skills, plant and consumables for R&M and upgrade works. Electrical, mechanical and civil skills could also be required under the contract.

The contract is being tendered in two separate Lots.

Total contract term will be 8 years - initial contract term is 3 years with an option to extend by up to a further five years in total.
