Severn Trent Water and sister company Hafren Dyfrdwy Cyfyngedig has awarded an electricity supply contract worth an estimated £829.35 million in total.
The contract was tendered in two separate Lots – Lot 1 had a total value of £800 million and Lot 2 a total value of £29.35 million.
Lot 1 covered Severn Trent Water's electricity import supply contract for the half-hourly portfolio — 900 sites with an annual volume of 620 GWh.
Lot 2 covered Hafren Dyfrdwy's electricity import supply contract for the half-hourly portfolio — 42 sites with an annual volume of 25 GWh.
The two companies have a combined annual consumption of approximately 700 GWhs across 6650 supplies.
Ipswich-based firm Haven Power has been awarded both contracts – one of seven firms who bid for the work.
