Scotland Excel looks to set up £40m engineering and construction consultancy services framework

Scotland Excel is looking to set up an engineering and construction consultancy services framework on behalf of participating councils and associate members within Scotland worth an estimated £40 million.

The organisation, the centre of procurement expertise for Scotland's local government sector which is funded by Scotland’s 32 local authorities, develops and manages collaborative contracts on behalf of the authorities and associate members.

The main scope of the framework covers engineering and technical related services, project support and management and buildings related technical services.

Scope of works to be provided via the framework, which will be tendered in a number of separate Lots, includes:

  • inspection
  • assessments
  • mechanical engineering services
  • electrical engineering services
  • civil and structural engineering services of buildings
  • project and commercial management
  • masterplanning
  • biodiversity
  • geotechnical and testing
