Scottish Water has awarded a contract to deliver £450m of work on its Capital Investment Programme from April 2010 onwards to the Thistle Water consortium – made up of Jacobs UK, Laing O’Rourke Infrastructure and Veolia Water UK .
The consortium will form a joint venture with Scottish Water to work on water and waste water treatment facilities and infrastructure during the upcoming 2010 to 2015 investment period.Stewart Stevenson, Scottish government minister for infrastructure, transport and climate change commented: “This will enable Scottish Water - which plays a vital role in protecting public health, improving the environment and enabling development - to roll out its new investment programme and further support Scotland’s economic recovery.”
