Southern Water has gone out to tender with a contract for the provision of IT infrastructure (hardware) and associated services (build) worth an estimated £12 million.
The water company is looking to appoint a single service provider for the provision of co-location infrastructure, including:
- solution design
- build
- testing
- support to operation
The work will form part of the ongoing co-location facilities project at Southern Water, but is limited to the hardware and associated services only,
Initial contract period is 5 years, with an option to extend by a further period, or periods, up to 5 years (10 years total).
Southern Water said the successful tenderer will be expected to start delivery during March 2019.
