Dwr Cymru Welsh Water has gone out to tender with a framework contract for mechanical installation work worth an estimated £36 million.
The contract covers fabrication, pipework and installation work for segregated mechanical packages within a larger solution, Scope of work includes:
- Fabrication, assembly, non-destructive/factory testing
- Assembly of packages through components manufactured by nominated contractors, client free issued products or other manufacturer sources.
- On site or off-site assembly
- Fabrication, assembly, non-destructive/factory testing, delivery
- Offloading, installation and commissioning of mechanical works
- General mechanical installations (plastic pipe work systems, mechanical plant, water industry equipment etc.)
- On site or off site package assembly (off site includes complete package assembly with delivery on a temporary base).
- Design work of fabrication and pipework required based on clients scope, standard solutions and products.
The contract is being tendered in three Lots - North Wales, South West Wales and South East Wales.
The water company is looking to appoint up to 13 suppliers to the framework, which will run for 3 years.
