The Environment Agency has gone out to with a contract for flood and coastal risk management services worth an estimated £68 million – the third multi-million pound tender put out by the Agency in the last two weeks.
The tender is for the Environment Agency’s Flood and Coastal Risk Management (FCRM) Operational Framework — Central Hub.
Ther contract is being tendered in the following two Lots:
Lot 1 — Small scale civil engineering and maintenance works (including culvert inspections and clearance).
Lot 2 — Routine maintenance, vegetation management and pest control.
Regions covered are in four Environment Agency areas;
Area 5 - Lincolnshire and Northamptonshire
Area 6 - East Midlands
Area 7 - West Midlands
Area 10 - East Anglia & West Midlands
Up to 13 suppliers will be appointed to the framework agreement, which will run for five years.
The contract is the third £multi-million FCRM tender from the Environment Agency in the last two weeks – the SW Hub contract is worth an estimated £16 million, while the North Hub contract is worth an estimated £70 million.
