Severn Trent awards £6m+ rotating biological contactors contract

Severn Trent Water has awarded a contract for rotating biological contactors worth an estimated £6.3 million.

The contract covers the design, manufacture, supply, delivery, installation, testing and commissioning of rotating biological contactors for waste water and sewage treatment plants.

Severn Trent used the Achilles UVDB to identify 175 pre-qualified suppliers, of which 17 responded via the UVDB and registered on the electronic portal to receive the tender documents, with 4 ultimately submitting bids.

Wednesbury based firm Tuke and Bell Ltd is the successful supplier.
