J. Murphy & Sons wins £1m-plus design contract for water mains design work

J. Murphy & Sons has won a contract for design work on United Utilities’ Williamsgate to Summergrove water mains worth an estimated £1.2 milion-plus.

Work under the contract includes:

  • Review/verification of pipeline route
  • Production of Employer’s Works Information for construction
  • Production of Employer’s Works Information for enabling works
  • Production of documents required for the Environmental Impact Assessment that forms part of the planning application
  • Design and implementation of site investigation works
  • Production of design programme
  • Production of construction programme.

J. Murphy & Sons was one of two companies in the bidding for the design contract, which is worth an estimated £1,249,855
