South West Water has awarded three separate AMP6 contracts worth an estimated £57 million in total.
An AMP6 contract for sewer maintenance worth £25 million has been won by to two locally based suppliers. The contract will be split between Exeter-based R&M Utility & Civil Engineering Services SW Ltd and Glanville Environmental based at Ivybridge near Plymouth. The firms were among four suppliers in the bidding for the work.
A £3 million contract for the maintenance of streetwork furniture associated with waste water has been awarded to Kier Services, one of two companies who bid for the work. Kier has also been awarded a separate £7.5 million contract for water mains refurbishment and rehabilitation construction work – one of three firms to tender.
A contract for developer services water requisitions and diversions with an estimated total initial value of £21.5 million has been won by Balfour Beatty Utility Solutions Ltd, one of three companies to bid for the work. Total final value of the BBUSL contract is £3 million.
