Severn Trent Water has awarded an £8 million contract for the supply of energy efficient heating and lighting solutions during AMP6.
Main Electrical Limited has been named as the sole supplier for the contract. The Sheffield-based firm were one of eight companies in the bidding for the work.
The contract covers various locations within the Severn Trent area which runs from the Humber estuary to the Bristol Channel and from Mid-Wales to East-Midlands.
Award criteria was on the basis of the most economically advantageous tender – the contract is not likely to be further subcontracted.
