United Utilities has gone out to tender with a five year AMP6 contract for the supply, delivery and installation of pump monitoring equipment.
The contract covers a wide range of services, including the ability to review real time efficiency data on up to 30 sets of pumps ranging from 90 Kw to 2 megawatts at LV and HV. Suppliers must be able to measure a range of different parameters, including hydraulic efficiency, suction pressure, delivery pressure, differential pressure, flow rates and electrical motor power. Any system offered must be thermodynamic for accuracy purposes.
Other requirements include:
- Pump scheduling
- Station head management
- Pump switching time management
- Pump maintenance planning
