EMCOR UK has won a five-year integrated facilities management contract for Thames Water Utilities Ltd’s entire UK portfolio of 4,000 properties across South East England.
The contract covers Thames Water’s corporate, water, waste water sites and depots, including office and process buildings, listed buildings, water towers and residential facilities.
The contract, which starts in April is for an initial duration of 5 years, with options to extend annually up to a maximum overall term of 7 years.
EMCOR UK will be responsible for integrated facilities management services at all facilities within Thames Water’s 4,000 properties. Scope of work includes mechanical and electrical maintenance, building fabric maintenance, cleaning services, manned security, helpdesk and front of house services.
Commenting on the win, Christopher Kehoe, Group Executive Director, EMCOR UK, said:
“We are delighted to have the opportunity to work with Thames Water. EMCOR UK is passionate about the critical nature of integrated facilities management services to the optimised functioning of a business – our reputation is built on working collaboratively with our customers to support their changing needs. In doing so, we deploy state of the art techniques, including using an innovative management information system with an eye on cost efficiency."
The contract is EMCOR’s second major contract win in the UK water sector since the start of the year - last month United Utilities awarded a £90 million facilities management contract for all its sites to the company.
