Yorkshire Water has gone out to tender with a forestry management services contract worth an estimated £8 million.
The contract covers the provision of woodland and countryside management services, including all aspects of forestry management, hard and soft landscaping, footpath, tracks, bridleway and boundary maintenance
Contractors will be required to scope, design, tender, appoint sub-contractors and managed schemes of works across a range of sites within the Yorkshire region. The contract is split into two Lots - Lot One Forestry management and Lot 2 for Countryside Management. Lot 2 also covers the provision of expertise in planning, legislation and funding opportunities, together with the management of timber sales. Both Lots include a requirement for Customer/visitor management.
The water company is looking to appoint a maximum of eight suppliers to the framework agreement which will run for five years. Time limit for receipt of tenders or requests to participate is 30th January.
