Support services company May Gurney, provider of integrated maintenance and enhancement services to clients in the public and regulated markets, has reported strong trading in the first half of the year with the publication today of its trading update for the six months ended 30 September 2011.

HSBC Bank plc has today sold Cambridge Water PLC to South Staffordshire Plc, owners of South Staffordshire Water - just two months after buying it.

In its Interim Management Statement published this morning, leading UK integrated support services company Carillion says the company expects earnings in 2011 to grow strongly, in line with market expectations.

Engineers at Thames Water are starting work  to replace and increase the capacity of a sewer pipe in Surrey.

Hyder Consulting PLC, the multi-national advisory and design consultancy, has published a trading update today in advance of its Interim Results for the six months ending 30 September 2011 which will be announced on 23 November 2011.

Thames super-sewer called into question

According to Hammersmith and Fulham Council, the case for Thames Water's 'super sewer' has been “rocked by explosive new evidence” from the expert who originally advised that the scheme should go ahead.

Today sees the opening of Welsh Water’s  new anaerobic digestion plant at its wastewater works in Tremorfa, Cardiff.

New sewer system for Hampshire village

Thames Water engineers will start work next month on replacing the main sewer pipe for the Hampshire village of Holybourne.

Thames Water is due to start work is on a £7 million, year-long scheme to protect 36 homes from sewer flooding.

Thames Water is starting work to replace a section of worn-out, century-old water main in Oxfordshire that has burst three times in three years.
