Veolia has announced that the Dalkia brand in Ireland has now officially become Veolia.
Dalkia has always been the energy services activity of Veolia - for brand clarity purposes the change had been considered for a number of years.
The firm said that one Veolia group brings significant benefits in terms of a comprehensive environmental offering to its clients.
Natural resources are growing scarce and we need to. Veolia, which is positioned as one of the world's leading specialists in energy, water and waste management, sees the challenge of meeting the growing needs of an increasingly densely populated and urbanised planet that is also facing the effects of climate change as an opportunity to develop the circular economy model where products are remade, resold or recycled.
Veolia positions itself as the global leader in optimised resource management. With over 200,000 employees*worldwide, the company designs and provides water, waste and energy management solutions which contribute to the sustainable development of communities and industries.
Through its three complementary business activities, in 2013 Veolia supplied 94 million people with drinking water and 62 million people with wastewater service, produced 86 million megawatt hours of energy and converted 38 million metric tons of waste into new materials and energy.
