The plans form part of a series of key goals with the announcement of its 2014 vision for Costain Cares, the long-term strategic initiative intended to build a more sustainable business and deliver tangible benefits for company stakeholders.
The firm will also seek to achieve a customer retention rate of 80% and for 100% of its Top 100 supply chain partners to complete 360 degree feedback, to measure performance and set a target to improve – and achieve an average supply chain performance of 65%. Costain also plans to ensure that 100% of the projects it works on deliver Community Engagement and Action plans.
The 2014 vision sets out ambitious targets that cover: health and safety, the development of employees, delivering the highest standards of service and sustainable solutions for customers, the responsible management of its supply chain, the support and contribution to the communities in which it serves and reducing the environmental impact of the work it undertakes.
Costain Cares is aiming to address further the developing needs of stakeholders, increasing the speed and scale of change towards a responsible business and, at the same time, enhance performance in every facet of Costain’s operations.
