Welsh Water has hosted its latest developer forums in North and South Wales, marking 15 years of these events providing space for collaboration and opportunities to improve services for home builders across its operating area.
The forums were attended by 80 representatives from home builders, social housing providers, consultants and Home Builders Federation, the largest attendance since they began in 2010.
During the meetings Welsh Water issued an update on priority areas for developers such as phosphates, surface water management and a new internal metering option offered by the water company.
Following the meeting, developers rated the events as an excellent resource for networking, interactive discussion and direct engagement with Welsh Water’s developer services team.
Welsh Water also announced imminent plans for a new forum with Local Authorities to drive direct engagement on the key issues affecting home builders.
Ian Wyatt, Business Customer Services Director said: “Welsh Water plays a pivotal role in supporting growth and development across our operating area. Hosting these developer customer forums as part of our wider engagement plans helps us all to collaborate, share and devise new opportunities to improve the services we provide and maximise the benefits to the wider economy.
“I am very grateful to those who attended our forums for the continued support and the contributions they make to our developer services activities.”
