Anglian Water progresses £1.6m Norwich pipeline investment

Anglian Water will begin work on installing the second phase of a brand new water main in Bowthorpe, Norwich next week.

The scheme, costing a total of £1.6million, will see an additional 2.7km of pipeline laid which will connect Colney and Bowthorpe Water Towers, helping to provide a resilient water supply for the future. Anglian has already installed 600m of new water main as part of the scheme between April and July this year.

The second phase of the project will begin on Monday 08 October with the overall project to be completed in April 2019.

Regan Harris, Anglian Water spokesperson, said:

“Norwich is one of the UK’s fastest growing cities with a thriving economy, so it’s essential that our network can meet the demands of a growing population, is resilient for the future, and allows us to move water around easily.”
