Intellitect Water (UK) has announced two new distribution partnerships for its Intellisonde™ in-pipe water quality monitors.
Intellitect has reached agreements with Finnish environmental services company Sarlin and ECO Monitoring in Slovakia to distribute the highly innovative Intellisonde™ in-pipe water quality monitors. Intellisondes™ represent a revolution in clean water management, providing visibility of water quality data within the distribution network.
Developed to continuously monitor in-pipe drinking water, the Intellisonde™ is a small water quality monitor that can be inserted into pressurised pipes to monitor up to 12 parameters.
Michal Ruzicka, from Bratislava-based ECO, explained that the Intellisonde™ will have a significant impact in how drinking water is monitored and managed in Slovakia.
He said:
“Until now, distribution network operators have had no information on chlorine levels in remote parts of the water pipe network across Slovakia. The Intellisonde™ will now play a key role in helping to rectify this. It is our aim to educate and convince water authorities of the importance of monitoring chlorination levels at key points of the pipe network, which will help to improve the quality of drinking water in the country.
“This is the first time such a product has been available in Slovakia and we are confident it will be a great success.”
Jari Kallio, Product Manager at Sarlin, believes that the appointment will help bring considerable improvements to water monitoring procedures across Finland.
He said:
“We are delighted to be appointed as an Intellitect Water distributor. This is mainly because the drinking water sector in Finland will derive huge benefits from the visibility of water quality that the Intellisondes™ will provide. Not only will this help to ensure that tap water quality is maintained at a high level, but it will also help water treatment managers to improve the efficiency of their processes.”
The major benefit of Intellitect Water's products is that they provide water companies with access to water quality data after it leaves the treatment plant and before it reaches the consumer.
