The effects of six consecutive years of record low interest rates - which have cut older savers' returns - have been unveiled in new research which reveals that over 60s are most likely to fall into arrears with their water company.

Water UK, the body which represents all the UK water companies, is joining a three-year European Commission work programme to develop a best available technology reference document for oil and gas, which will take full consideration of environmental protection.

Waterbriefing AMP6 water sector surveys launched
