The Government's innovation agency Innovate UK is investing  almost £1 million to help UK companies bring their fledgling Internet of Things ideas to market.

Northumbrian Water is investing up to £6 million in developing an innovative approach to tackling water discolouration. The new approach could deliver potential savings of 90% against traditional mains water cleaning processes and has already attracted the attention of other water companies. 

NOVA TIDAL TURBINENova Innovation, a global leader in tidal energy generation, has deployed the world’s first fully-operational, commercial, grid-connected offshore tidal array in Shetland.

Anglian Water has opted to deploy an integrated GIS and SAP module to streamline processes and manage its assets and work.

More than £13 million in funding has been committed to a new anaerobic digestion (AD) plant in Nottinghamshire that will generate renewable energy.

Government funding is helping with the commercial development of a real-time, rapid response software system to autonomously and efficiently inform on events (such as natural disasters, terrorism, riots) as they unfold.
