 A new £3.9 million research project led by the University of Sheffield announced on Friday involving six universities and 26 companies from across the UK water sector will help the water sector to tackle key challenges, including population growth, ageing infrastructure and climate change.

In an Expert Focus interview for Waterbriefing, Steve Morris, Managing Director of Huber Technology, waste water treatment solutions specialists who work with all the main UK water companies and their contractors and delivery partners, talks to Elaine Coles, Managing Editor at Waterbriefing about how continuous innovation in an established product sets it apart from the competition.

Total year-end IT spending by western European utilities is expected to reach $18.4 billion by 2019, according to a new IT spending forecast report.

Severn Trent Water has improved the accuracy of its network asset data by introducing an innovative approach using mobile GIS (Geographical Information System) from Esri UK.
