Thames Water has awarded a contract for advanced energy recovery from sludge to Bristol-based firm Aqualogy Environment Ltd, part of the SUEZ Group companies.

The Vale of Glamorgan Council has awarded Dyer & Butler a contract to build the Barry Flood Risk Management Scheme in the Coldbrook Catchment worth an estimated £2.5 million.

The Scottish Borders Council has awarded a contract for the  Selkirk flood protection scheme main works worth an estimated £18.67 million.

Yorkshire Water tenders £24m fleet contract

Yorkshire Water has gone out to tender with a contract for Company Car Fleet Support Terms worth an estimated £24 million.

The National Audit Office is warning that a third of major government projects due to deliver in the next five years, including infrastructure and construction, are rated as being in doubt or unachievable if action is not taken to improve delivery.

United Utilities has awarded a contract for the maintenance and repair of centrifuge equipment to three suppliers.

The Environment Agency has gone out to tender with a telemetry outstation framework contract which will also extend to the Northern Ireland Environment Agency, the Scottish Environment Protection Agency and Natural Resource Wales.

Thames Water has awarded its AMP6 employee relations contract to Leicestershire-headquartered Croner Group Ltd.

Yorkshire Water has awarded a marine outfalls installation contract to as yet undisclosed suppliers.

J. Murphy & Sons has won a contract for design work on United Utilities’ Williamsgate to Summergrove water mains worth an estimated £1.2 milion-plus.
