Thames Water has awarded a contract for water treatment chemicals worth an estimated £4.2 million.

Northern Ireland Water has gone out to tender with a framework contract for screens, grit removal and associated conditioning and conveyance equipment worth an estimated £19.25 million.

Irish Water is getting ready to start work on four major schemes worth a combined total of €40.8 million.

Reports that the Interserve/Kier jv, the preferred bidder with Severn Trent Water for its £100 million upgrade of its Frankley Water Treatment Works near Birmingham, have parted company, have been confirmed by the water company.

United Utilities has awarded the £85 million Thirlmere link mains contract to a joint venture between Farrans Construction and Roadbridge Ltd.

Fullerton dam in IrelandLagan Construction Group Ltd has signed a €3.7 million contract which will provide a secure supply of water to the people of Greencastle, Inishowen. Its subsidiary Laganwater Ltd will also be responsible for the mechanical and electrical installation of the project.

ROTORK BRAZIL PLANT IMAGEIQ actuators supplied by Bath-headquartered engineering company Rotork in the West of England have been selected for a Brazilian water treatment plant upgrade.

United Utilities has awarded its second contract for a Nereda plant, only months after awarding what was then the UK’s biggest at Kendal Wastewater Treatment Works.

RESMIXGurney Environmental have received a second order from Jersey Water for a ResMix 1000 ‘Source Management’ system.

Thames Water has awarded a wide-ranging contract for an industry specific software package for a new Meter Data Management System to Siemens plc.
