Scottish Water is getting ready to plant over 80 hectares of land at Talla Reservoir with native woodland to help make the catchment more resilient to climate change in the future.

Scottish Water has planted thousands of native trees on land at two South Lanarkshire sites, helping to boost biodiversity and lock up carbon.

The Climate Change Committee (CCC) has released its first assessment of the new Government’s progress on reducing emissions - the independent, statutory body says that with more action UK will hit its legally binding climate targets.

Yorkshire Water is planting over 38,000 native trees to create a new woodland on its land outside Cottingham, near Hull. The new 25-hectare woodland will see 38,325 native trees planted in collaboration with the Woodland Trust.
