Thames Water has gone out to tender with an AMP6 contract worth up to £57 million for the supply of pipes and fittings across the whole of its operating region.
The water company is looking to appoint a maximum number ten suppliers to the framework contract, which could run for up to seven years. Estimated value is between £24 million to £57 million.
There are eight lots covering products for use in both potable water and waste water applications.:
Lot 1 — Ductile Iron Pipes and Fittings
Lot 2 — Polyethylene Pipes
Lot 3 — Polyethylene Fittings
Lot 4 — Polyethylene Barrier Pipes and Fittings
Lot 5 — Polyethylene Electrofusion Fittings
Lot 6 — Carbon Steel Pipe and Fittings Fabrication
Lot 7 — Concrete Pipes and Fittings
Lot 8 — Plastic Coated Steel Pipe
Suppliers can apply for all or individual lots.
Any agreement awarded will be for an initial duration of 3 years, with options to extend annually up to a maximum overall term of 5 or 7 years. Alternatively, Thames Water may award for 5 or 7 years from the outset.
Time limit for receipt of tenders or requests to participate is 28th November -all suppliers who want to respond must request a pre-qualification questionnaire.
