Wessex Water has gone out to tenders with a £40 million contract for its design capital delivery partners during AMP6 and potentially AMP7.
The water company is looking to appoint a maximum number of 6 participants to the framework agreement, which could run for up to 10 years and cover both AMP6 and AMP7.
The contract covers the provision of design services, including associated consultancy, related to water and waste water treatment works and above and below ground distribution networks and infrastructure. Estimated value for AMP6 is £40 million - the value for the AMP7 period is not yet known.
Wessex Water is looking for Capital Delivery Partners to assist in the delivery of the design elements of its capital investment and capital maintenance programme - with a greater emphasis on capital Maintenance work than in previous Asset Management Programmes.
These will be for AMP6 running 1.4.2015 to 31.3.2020 with the opportunity to continue through to AMP7, ending in 2025 dependent upon performance and subject to the AMP7 determination.
The services will involve elements of early involvement with the Wessex Water internal design team and the firm’s Civils and EMI Capital Delivery Partners.
Following the success of the AMP5 delivery process elements of the Programmes will be procured under NEC3 PSC Option C Target Cost contract conditions
Time limit for receipt of requests for documents or for accessing documents is 11th September.
Responses to the initial Pre Qualification Questionnaire will be assessed and used to shortlist applicants who will be invited to tender. It is envisaged that no more than 15 applicants will be shortlisted.
Applicants invited to tender will be required to sign and return a Wessex Water confidentiality agreement prior to the issue of tender documentation.
