Newcastle City Council has gone out to tender with a contract for drainage services with an estimated value of £4.8 million including VAT.
The Council is tendering the drainage services contract in two separate Lots.
For Lot 1 - Residential Properties and Public Buildings – the Councils require support from external drainage contractors with skilled tradespersons to assist in delivering a first-class drainage service for residential properties and public buildings. The Framework will be a Council wide framework and may involve drainage work for any Council department. Current estimated Lot value is £4.2 million including VAT.
Scope of Lot 2 covers school sites throughout Newcastle Upon Tyne – this Lot likewise requires support from external drainage contractors with skilled tradespersons to assist in delivering a first-class drainage service. Again, the framework will be a Council wide framework and may involve drainage work for any Council department. Current estimated Lot value is £600,000 including VAT.
Newcastle City Council is looking to appoint up to 4 suppliers to the framework.
Current estimated start and end contract dates are 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2028, with a further possible extension option to 30 June 2030.
Tender submission deadline is 10:00am on 8 May 2026 - the Council have emphasised that late submissions will not be accepted.
