Southern Water has launched preliminary market engagement seeking supply chain input ahead of going out to tender with an AMP8 contract for supply and maintenance of blowers & compressors with an estimated total value of £7.2 million (inc VAT).

Service required under the procurement are as follows:

• Supply of Assets
• Design, Installation and Commissioning
• Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
• Reactive Maintenance
• Hire
• Compliance & Safety Services
• Associated Services

Current estimated start and end contract dates are 2 January 2027 to 2 January 2031, with further possible extension options up to 2 February 2035. Current estimated publication date of a formal tender notice is 1 July 2026.

The objectives of the market engagement exercise are:

1. To inform the specification.

2. To inform the procurement strategy and procurement structure.

3. To understand the market capabilities.

The water company is inviting suppliers to register their interest and respond to the PQQ/ITT ( Pre-Qualification Questionnaire and Invitation to Tender) at Southern Water's Jaggaer sourcing portal.
