The water company’s primary objective is to achieve optimal centrifuge operations through effective start-up, monitoring, maintenance, and shutdown procedures.

Personnel will be required to adjust operational parameters in line with process requirements and perform lubrication, oil and grease replenishment tasks according to the manufacturer's specifications.

The project is structured around key phases, including centrifuge operations, routine maintenance, and site support which involves handling materials and shunting equipment with telehandler operations.

Suppliers are expected to meet performance standards that emphasize zero safety incidents, timely fault reporting, and adherence to maintenance schedules.

Current estimated start and end contract dates 6 April 2026 to 31 March 2029, with further possible extension options up to 31 March 2034.

United Utilities is looking to appoint a maximum of two suppliers to the framework.

Deadline for submission of enquiries is 5:00pm on 26 January 2026 and tender submission deadline is 5:00pm on 26 February 2026. Estimated award decision date is currently 23 March 2026.

The procurement procedure is a multi stage activity – a Conditions of Participation Questionnaire is used for stage 1, and assessment of submissions will allow shortlisting of bidders to Invitation to Negotiate.
