Northern Ireland Water has awarded a contract for the supply, delivery, installation, commissioning and maintenance of rotating biological contactors with an estimated value of £11.88 million ( inc VAT).

The framework contract was tendered in the following three Lots:

• Lot 1. RBC Package plants for PE less than 250 (£11.88 million
• Lot 2. Package plants for PE greater than 250 and less than 1000
• Lot 3. Provision of modular RBCs for PE greater than 500

Environmental Wastewater Solutions Ltd and Kee Process Ltd have been awarded contracts under Lots 1, 2 and 3, with Jacopa Ltd awarded a contract under Lot 3.

N I Water received two tenders for Lots 1 and 2 respectively, and three tenders for Lot 3.

Earliest date the contract will be signed is 10 November 2025 following conclusion of the standstill period on 7 November 2025.

Current estimated start and end contract dates are 10 November 2025 to 9 November 2028, with further possible extension options up to 9 November 2032
