Yorkshire Water has awarded an AMP8 framework contract for the supply of Maintenance, Repair Operations (MRO) and Tools, including minor fabrication/small repair work worth an estimated £29.8 million (excluding VAT).
The water company was seeking to put a framework agreement in place for MRO and tools, including small repairs/minor fabrication services to support Yorkshire Water's Engineering, Operational and Craft Teams in procuring essential maintenance spares and consumables.
The consolidated framework aims to provide operational and commercial efficiency in procuring critical spares, tools, and consumables, ensuring consistent quality and streamlined supplier management across YWS operations.
Initial contract is three years, with the option to extend for up to four additional years.
The contract was tendered in the following Lots:
Lot 1 MRO
Essential maintenance spares including mechanical parts, electrical parts, valves, consumables, drainage equipment and building materials to support the YW Engineering, Operational and Craft Teams
Lot 2 Tools
Standardised and H&S-compliant tools required by YW's Operational Teams to fulfil their role including basic hand tools, power tools, network tools, testing equipment and drainage tools.
Lot 3 Tools Minor Fabrication/Small Repairs
Minor/low value machining and workshop work required by YW's Operational Teams including minor welding, grinding, cutting, machining/fabrication of low value components.
Yorkshire Water received 24 tenders and has awarded a number of contracts – no information has been provided about the successful suppliers.
