Severn Trent is inviting engagement from suppliers for a closed framework agreement that will support Severn Trent in establishing Innovation Partnerships.

The preliminary market engagement is optional and does not contribute to the procurement process, which may be amended/changed in the future following the engagement activity and further development of the sourcing strategy.

Severn Trent is signposting the availability of more information on its strategy and goals in its Asset intelligence and Innovation - Innovation Strategy 2023 document.

The water company is inviting interested suppliers to complete a pre-market engagement online form – apart from providing the company name, suppliers are not required to provide their individual name and email address unless they choose to do.

Questions Severn Trent are seeking responses to include:

• Are you currently or have you been part of a strategic partnership?
• Does the concept of a long-term strategic innovation partnership align with your current business priorities?
• Would your organisation be open to exploring co-investment or shared innovation models?
• How do you typically engage with external partners on innovation?
• What kind of support (financial, technical, market access) would you be willing to offer to smaller partners?

Current estimated start and end contract dates for the framework are 1 February 2026 to 31 December 2029. Deadline to submit responses to the market engagement is 10 July 2025 – click here to access the online form.
