Norfolk County Council has issued a Preliminary Market Engagement Notice inviting interested suppliers to participate in a market engagement event ahead of tendering a contract for the provision of drainage sewage, and water plant maintenance worth an estimated £1.3 million+ (inc VAT).

The Council (NCC) is looking for a provider to carry out statutory compliance and the effective management of water treatment and sewage systems across its property portfolio.
The provider must have the expertise to deliver comprehensive maintenance, testing, certification, and reporting for sewage pump maintenance, water treatment, interceptor pumps, and liquid waste extraction services. The selected provider must also demonstrate confidence in regulatory compliance and best practices, ensuring operational efficiency and environmental responsibility
No supplier engagement activity has taken place prior to the issue of the notice.
NCC will hiold a Market Engagement Event in June/July and is inviting suppliers to register on INTEND https://in-tendorganiser.co.uk under the project reference NCCT43219 and send a message on the facility to register their interest in attending - further information, time and date on the 1 hour Teams online event will then be provided to the supplier. The estimated contract value of £1,342,928 including VAT covers the full 5 year term of the contract including extension options.
Current start and end estimated contract dates are 1 December 2025 to 4 December 2029, with a possible further extension option to 4 December 2031. Estimated publication date of a formal tender notice is 29 July 2025.
