Wessex Water awards AMP8 contract for water quality monitoring

Wessex Water has awarded an AMP8 framework contract for water quality monitoring for Urban Pollution Management (UPM) assessment - Storm Overflow Assessment Framework (SOAF) level 3-4.

WESSEX WATER GENERIC VAN

When storm overflows spill, diluted storm sewage enters the environment, impacting the chemical and microbiological water quality of receiving and downstream water bodies. Effective UPM diminishes the environmental harm and ensures that water company discharges allow rivers and coasts to comply with Environment Quality Standards.

Water Quality Monitoring for UPM Assessment (SOAF Level ¾) Storm Overflow Assessment Framework

The water company requires water quality monitoring data for UPM assessment modelling – Wessex Water tendered the framework agreement in two Lots:

  • Lot 1: Water Quality Monitoring
