Anglian Water is inviting suppliers to submit Expressions of Interest for an upcoming AMP8 contract for tanks and liquid storage worth an estimated £60 million.
The water company has published a Periodic Indicative Notice setting out its requirements ahead of going out to tender with a formal contract notice early in December.
Supply and installation of tanks and liquid storage units on water and water recycling sites.
The requirement is for various types of liquid storage tanks and tank covers, including:
- Glass lined steel
- Pre-cast concrete
- Polyethylene
- Plastics including PVC
- Glass reinforced plastic (GRP)
- Steel and stainless steel
- These will be used for:
- Sewage and sludge
- Sewage process and settlement
- Water (Reg 31 and MIC will be required)
- Chemicals
- Miscellaneous, e.g. wash water, process balancing, underground sewage balancing
The above will include process and pressure vessels and above ground as well as underground storage tanks. Under the contract they will be delivered to site, off-loaded and installed by the supplier.
Suppliers should be able to provide tanks which are suitable for wastewater, or which meet the requirements of Reg 31 when used in water applications.
Anglian Water will be tendering the contract in six separate Lots for the supply and installation of:
- Lot 1 Glass Lined Steel Tanks
- Lot 2 Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP) Tanks
- Lot 3 Plastic and PVC Tanks
- Lot 4 Polyethylene Tanks
- Lot 5 Pre-Cast Concrete Tanks
- Lot 6 Welded Mild Steel / Welded Stainless Steel Tanks
