Anglian Water has appointed ATKINSRÉALIS UK Ltd to carry out the design, consenting and enabling services for the Colchester Reuse Water pipeline project.

Scope of the contract covers the detailed design for the Colchester reuse demonstration plant Reuse Water pipeline from Colchester WRC to Ardleigh Reservoir.

Consenting services cover:

• Prepare consenting strategy and assist Anglian Water in achieving a permitted development decision from the LPA.
• Work with the LPA and other statutory undertakers in the development and production of the screening opinion and any other consenting requirements.
• Engage with statutory and non-statutory stakeholders and support Anglian Water to achieve consent to the PCD programme
• Produce the documentation required for screening and delivery of the construction phase.Develop and produce archaeological strategy, implementation plan sufficient for screening opinion.

Enabling services cover:

• Plan and allow in the programme physical site surveys (including ground investigation) necessary for screening opinion, planning permission or consenting requirement.
• Support Anglian Water in the procurement and management of such physical site survey including the production of specifications and/or scope documents.
• Incorporate the HRA work initiated by the Water Resources team.
• Collaborate with construction teams to create a deliverable scheme.

The contract is a single award and will run for a duration of 12-18 months.
