NI Water has gone out to tender with a contract for occupational health services worth an estimated £1.4 million.

Scope of the contract is to provide occupational health services to both current employees and new starts.

Services to be provided under the wide-ranging contract include:

• telephone & desk top advice services
• video appointments
• employment referrals
• attendance management advice and assessments
• ill health retirement advice
• pre appointment checks
• clear guidance and advise in relation to fitness for task and safety critical work at locations across NI
• health surveillance services
• hearing tests
• drugs & alcohol testing
• support with neurodiversity assessments, to include dyslexia, dyscalculia and dyspraxia.
• physiotherapy services
• attendance at employment and tribunals and courts as a witness

Initial contract term is 36 months with potential extension options for up to a further four years
