United Utilities has gone out to tender with a contract for its half hourly electricity power supply worth an estimated £1.2 billion.

The water company is looking to award a flexible supply contract for the company’s Half Hourly (HH) electricity meters to a single supplier. The successful provider will supply the company’s HH portfolio and any new site additions during the life of the agreement.

Initial contract term is 5 years with up to 5 years’ further extension options.
