Wessex Water is inviting contractors and consultants to register their interest in providing works and professional services to the water company.

The utility is establishing a qualification system to provide the opportunity for contractors and consultants to express their interest in providing works and professional services.

The Wessex Water Qualification System for Works and Professional Services covers a wide range of services, including:

• Financial consultancy services
• Engineering services
• Engineering design services for mechanical and electrical installations
• for buildings
• Geological and geophysical consultancy services
• Ground investigation services
• Surface surveying services
• Urban planning and landscape architectural services
• Site-investigation services
• Construction supervision services
• Analysis services
• Laboratory services
• Business and management consultancy and related services
• Sewage treatment consultancy services
• Consulting services for water-supply and waste-water other than for construction

Contractors and consultants are being invited to apply for particular categories of works and professional services detailed in the system.

Wessex Water will use the qualification system for the selection of contractors/consultants to participate in procurement procedures regulated by the Utilities Contract Regulations.

Wessex Water gives no guarantee of tendering opportunities nor the volumes or value of works and professional services being awarded via the qualification system, Once established the system will remain in place for an indefinite duration.
